Silver has been recognized and used both in times past and today as an effective antimicrobial. In can be taken orally, used on burns, or given intravenously.
Many years ago, some physicians gave poor quality silver in large amounts and it accumulated to toxic levels in patients. Today there are much better silver preparations available.
At the William Hitt Center, we employ silver intravenously to augment the antiviral action of ozone in certain patients. We use a silver made of particles that do not clump together but remain separate and fluid, giving the best effect with no concerns about accumulated toxicity. |
